Constellation Turkey Wing
The turkey wing is a traditional Appalachian style hand broom. The name comes from a time when real wings of birds were used for fanning flames and sweeping ash.
These brooms are one of my primary companions - they’re versatile, compact, and practical. I use them to sweep under furniture, around corners, carpets and edges, and move leaves from the porch. They’re dreamy for those living on the road or in small spaces; I keep one in my vehicle for sweeping off dirty boots, cars and tents.
